Board Meetings
2nd Tuesday of each month at
PWC Center, 1387 Main Street, Morro Bay, starting at 6:00 p.m. Members may speak during the Public Comment or be placed on the agenda. For copies of agendas or minutes, contact Virginia Flaherty at the hotline number (543-WILD) or send EMAIL to PWC. You can also mail your request to PWC, P.O. Box 3257, San Luis Obispo, CA 93403-3257. Don't forget to provide an email or mailing address.

General Meeting of PWC Members
Held October 23, 2007

Summary: Several important announcements included a few recent grants received. Kelly Vandenheuvel,  our new Funding Chairman, will endeavor to encourage cities to make yearly donations to PWC.  Dani Nicholson was announced as the interim Center Director. The position of Training Chair is open, and interested parties are encouraged to apply by sending EMAIL .

A memorial donation, by Virginia Flaherty, was announced.  This is a special way to remember a special person.  Visit our MEMBERS PAGE to make any special donations.

We are asking volunteers to staff the primary elections on February 5 and June 3 of 2008. This is a fundraiser for PWC, and volunteers are needed to work on election day. CONTACT US if you would like to to work a 3 or 4 hour shift.

After the business portion of the meeting, Steve Schubert, a local expert on Peregrine Falcons, showed slides and explained their place biologically and in the US and specifically Morro Rock. He has two a fascinating websites MORRO ROCK PEREGRINES and CONDOR LOOKOUT. The seven PWC educational animals were then brought out one by one.
