Funding

Construction of the rehabilitation center was made possible through funding by the California Department of Fish & Game Office of Spill Prevention & Response (OSPR), Oiled Wildlife Care Network (OWCN), National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the Guadalupe Restoration Committee and the Morro Bay Power Plant.

OWCN Primary Facility
As one of 12 primary care facilities under the Oiled Wildlife Care Network, the PWC rehabilitation center would become headquarters for wildlife rescue efforts in the event of oil spill on the Central Coast. The center was designed with this purpose in mind. The walls and floors are constructed to provide proper air flow and drainage should the need arise to process and treat oiled wildlife.

Our Commitment
The Morro Bay Rehabilitation Center is committed to the highest standard of care in the field of wildlife rehabilitation and the humane treatment of all wildlife. Learn more about the rehabilitation process.
